Irving’s two-part Fourth of July celebration begins with a community parade through the heritage district with entries by community organizations, businesses and families. Wave your flags as floats, marchers and custom vehicles go by. The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Sowers Street and Irving Blvd., near Millennium Park.

Immediately following the parade, head to Heritage Park to enjoy complimentary watermelon and patriotic music until noon.

In the evening from 6 until 10 p.m., Lake Carolyn in the Las Colinas district will be the site of Irving’s Fourth of July fireworks show.
